Janus Green B works as basic dye and vital stain that finds use in histology. These are also used for staining mitochondria where there is change in color of indicator janus green B depending upon the amount of oxygen present. The indicator is oxidized in blue color in presence of oxygen and shows pink color in case of absence of oxygen.
